Gary O'Connell

Gary O’Connell earned his B.A. in Finance from the University of Portland in 1969. Thereafter he earned 33 hours of post graduate accounting from Portland State University and also his NASD securities license and his Oregon State Insurance license as well.
Gary began his career in property management in 1976 with PMSI in Vancouver, Washington as a Portfolio Manager. He earned his Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation in 1983 and also his Real Estate Brokers license for both Washington and Oregon in subsequent years. He eventually purchased Quantum Residential (formerly PMSI) in 1997 and has served as its President and Chairman of the Board since then.
Gary has been active in industry and community associations throughout his career, including IREM, Metro Multifamily Housing Association and Vancouver Rotary Club. He has also served on the Boards for the YMCA, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Bridge The Gap (foster children) and the SW WA chapter of the American Red Cross. He and his wife, Meg, spend much of their time at their Eagle Crest home in Central Oregon, enjoying golf and outdoor activities with the families of their son and daughter and seven grandkids.
Karen Berri

As an officer for Quantum Residential, Karen has been with the company for 21 years. Karen is an Assistant Portfolio Manager to Gary O'Connell, Scott Arena and Scott Killian, where she provides support in keeping assignments and tasks moving forward. Karen also provides support in Human Resources.
She is an avid reader and enjoys oil painting and loves spending time with her family. Walking and hiking are favorite activities.
Louise Griffith

Louise has held the position of Corporate Controller for 3 years at Quantum. Her duties include:

* Supervising Accounting Department
Louise loves country living, which includes her passion for gardening and canning vegetables.
And, is an avid NASCAR fan - she never misses the annual Daytona 500 and you can bet you'll find her at the races in Las Vegas with her husband!
Scott Arena

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Lewis and Clark College (1987). Following a passion for investment real estate he entered the multi-family field with Guardian Management in 1991. Starting at the site management level he gained experience at various sites, eventually managing the portfolio's largest property and then being promoted to portfolio supervisor in 1994.
In 1996 he joined GSL Properties, Inc. Initially a project manager for a large new construction project, he was promoted to portfolio manager in 1999, and a year later became Vice President of Management Operations.
Joining Quantum Residential, Inc in 2004, Mr. Arena currently holds the role of Executive Vice President. In addition to portfolio oversight for key client groups, he is also responsible for property management operations and business development.
Committed to on-going professional development and continuing education, Scott is a member of IREM and the Oregon Affordable Housing Management Association. He earned his CPM designation with IREM in 2001 and his LIHTC Compliance Professional designation in 1998.
Active in community affairs, he has been a long-term member of the Board for the Clark County YMCA.
Scott enjoys being a Portland native, and resides in Lake Oswego, Oregon. He enjoys running, fitness, golf, illustrating children's books, and vacationing with his family.
Cindy McGrath

Cindy has been with Quantum for 8 years. She is an Assistant Portfolio Manager to Leslie Maehlum, Scott Arena, and Jason Austin. Her role is to assist, support and keep the work flow moving forward. Her position is heavily relied on for quality and accuracy in terms of communication and paperwork to clients and field employees. Cindy offers field support and handles property reporting as well. Cindy enjoys travel, retail-therapy, time at Central Oregon - and enjoys adding to her Batman-themed collectibles!
Leslie Maehlum

Leslie Maehlum returned to Washington State in August 2011 after working in the Bay area for sixteen years.
During her career with Mayfield Companies in California, Leslie worked as both an on-site Manager and as a Portfolio Manager at over a 100 different multifamily sites, gaining valuable experience with affordable and conventional properties. In 2001, she was promoted to General Property Manager with Mayfield Companies, personally responsible for supervising the entire multi-family property portfolio, including the maintenance department.
Leslie joined Quantum Residential in 2011 and currently manages a portfolio of 1,081 units throughout Oregon and Washington.
Leslie is a University of Washington Alumni and enjoys watching Huskie football, plays tennis, bridge and loves walking in the rain.
Kay McElroy

Kay is an active grandparent. Actually, Kay is simply active! She has a keen interest in good nutrition and exercise. And, lives out both consistently.

Heather Binkly

Heather has been with Quantum for 2 years. Her responsibilities include:

Heather is a bit of an "art nouveau" buff. However, she can appreciate the simpler things as well - like raising chickens and supplying the office with fresh farm eggs.
She enjoys spending time with her husband of 4 years and her step-daughter.
Crystal Boyer

Crystal has been with Quantum for 14 years. Her role includes:

* Field Support, Troubleshooting
Crystal has a passion for dogs. She is a dog trainer and competes in various dog events throughout the year - where she has received several championship titles.
She owns a rare breed of dog, the Kuvasz. Although she has a love for dogs, her pride and joy are her two grown children.
Crystal takes advantage of traveling the country several times during the year with her husband.
Michele Druschel

Michele has been with Quantum Residential for 23 years. Her position in Payroll includes:

Michele has a knack for baking. She also lends her skill of massage therapy to various charities and organizations throughout the year.
She participates in Volks Sports, where she enjoys scenic walks.
Scott Killian

Scott Killian earned his B.A. from Washington State University in 1993. After graduation from WSU, Mr. Killian started his career managing historic apartment buildings in downtown Seattle for Phillips Real Estate Services, Inc.
In 1997, Scott returned to his hometown of Vancouver, Washington where he went to work for Norris & Stevens, Inc. managing a large portfolio of multifamily investment properties in the Portland Metropolitan area. During this time he earned his real estate license in both Washington and Oregon. In 2004 Mr. Killian joined Quantum Residential, Inc. as a Property Manager and in 2009 he earned his IREM CPM® designation.
Mr. Killian enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife Rachel and their daughter.
Tressia Morrow

An artist by nature, tole painting has been a joy of Tressia's for nearly 20 years.
Tressia enjoys creating through culinary arts and trying new recipes. She is the proud mother of a 10 year old boy who is active in Football and Basketball. Weekends are full!
Jason Austin

After attending Portland Community College for two years, Jason began his career in property management in 1999 with the Portland office of Fairfield Residential. After 6 years, Jason was transferred to San Francisco, overseeing the lease-up of several large new projects in the Bay area. He also provided area management support for a large portfolio of affordable and conventional properties from San Jose to Sacramento.
Jason moved back to Portland in 2008 and accepted a Portfolio Manager position with Princeton Property Management. This portfolio consisted of a mix of conventional as well as affordable housing with as many as 18 properties throughout Oregon and Washington.
In 2011, Jason joined Quantum Residential where he currently manages a portfolio of 1627 apartments, including three major Housing Authority Agencies.He is currently pursuing his CPM designation, and his LIHTC certification for tax credit properties.
He and his wife Brenna are the proud parents of two young boys Pierce and Peyton.
Jason stays active in the community - coaching his boys soccer teams as well as serving on the board for the Clark County YMCA.
Helen Flanagan
